There is still more here. Things changed with Houston getting Ariza and decking on Parsons. Washington was brought into the mix and now there are more moving parts.
The trade can't be as simple as this. Still about 2 mil missing from the Pels that need to go out.

He's what we need. A SF who can hit a 3 pointer. He can create his own shot, only thing I don't know about is his defense. But I'm pretty satisfied.Originally Posted by cgrand

According to DA Ely is going to Washington, no word on Babbitt yet.

About Casspi, being a tyreke fan I saw a lot of him watching kings' games, he is way more athletic then given credit for, he had a couple posterizing dunks and 1 handed alley oops. He is very quick and has a nice 3 ball, he can definitely defend NBA 3's but the ones who give him trouble are the stronger ones. He also can create his own shot, is good around the rim, and a very solid rebounder and passer.
He is a very good player but was buried behind parsons. He has a true all around game, can't say how awesome this is.
I had no idea we could get him, great trade dell!!!

Gee + Ely = $4.3 million. Asik + Casspi is $9.5 mil. #Pelicans need to send out $6.3 mil to take in $9.3. Still missing something.

They are all fine, but we have to send out a certain amount of salary to take in this amount of salary. We are taking in 9.3 million. We have to send out a little under 6.3 million in order to be within the rules of the CBA.

Do we really? Jrue/Asik/AD are all great defenders. Unless Casspi is terrible on defense, I dont think we need to have a defensive SF.
Then why would we sign Aminu?
