Gordon is much better than Mayo and is on a shorter deal. Moving Gordon for trash on a longer deal would be terrible and to just throw in Rivers. Come on man. I'm pretty sure Ajinca and Middleton's value isn't far off. He's a sf and they're 2 best prospects are sfs.

I'll trade Ajinca for Middleton and use the room exception on Jefferson
If you can get Middleton for Ajinca, you have my ok to follow through on it....

Who outta Jrue AD, Tyreke would you trade for that wing player you are looking for?

Don't over value Middleton because of what he did on the worse team in the league. Rivers would've put up 20ppg on that team last year.

Does anyone think we're not finishing games with Jrue, Gordon, Tryeke, RA, and Ant?

Someone better than Aminu being signed means we solved our Center problem, and upgraded the SF position, in an offseason that shouldn't have yielded nearly that much.

Close your eyes and think about where this team was 3 years ago today...

The turnaround has been dramatic and I can't think of any team that has reversed course as efficiently and effectively as this one.

We have so much depth at the guard position, and the big man position, it is amazing. Deepest we been in a while.

I wont even mind having Reke on the SFs and Gordaun on the SGs. Gordon has to realize he isnt the man for us anymore. But he shouldnt be a baby about, instead, he should embrace it and just play solid basketball, if there is an injury elsewhere, than he will have the opportunity to step up.

How much of a liability is it to play Asik,AD, ryno at the same time?

Defensively, decent. Offensively, as long as its Jrue and Reke, it will be a disaster for any defense.

If Gordon decides to opt in next summer Dell is screwed. ..So why not dump him. Mayo off the bench would work. ...Mayo brings more energy at half the price

The Lakers do not have a lot of money to throw around. Lin was traded into cap space. Add in the money for Hill and Swaggy to Kobe and Nash. Not a ton of cap room left.

If Gordon decides to opt in he'll be an expiring. Mayo will still be untradeable. Trading Gordon for Mayo is not a dump.

That's what I was thinking, seems that now with Asik underneath, we can play ryno more at SF for the open shots. If he gets beat on D, we have backup help now.

Thanks for the warning, but he still has my blessing to make the deal....

With Gordon's salary next year. Dell wouldn't be able to chase a SF in next summers deep free agent class. It would be easier to move O.J at 8 mil vs 15 mil

So it would be easier to move a 2 yr deal at 8m/yr than a 15m expiring?

    Ladies (and gentleman)...

Our team is fine. Have some perspective. We're looking for a specialist at this point. Someone who can stand in the corner and hit three pointers while playing about 15 minutes per game.

    Kobe - 25m
    Nash - 9m
    Hill - 9m
    Lin - 8.5m
    Young - 5m
    Randle - 3m

They still have more than enough to offer Johnson more than the RLE. Saying as he was the starting SF I don't see how they left him walk when they can just outbid us.

We need space next summer, if Gordon opts in at 15 mil no space left. Yes Mayo has a year remaining, but with the cap rising we'll be able to get more value at SF

Give me Marion for 2 year contract. Hands down. I don't care how old he is. He can still play. Has pedigree and is great locker room guy. In that time we can find our long term starter.

I see no bigs on that list other than Randle, a 19 year old, and about 4-5 mil of cap room and the Room. Can't imagine that Johnson is their priority.

Marion might be my favorite too. Very average 3pt shooter, including corner 3, but I take a slight decrease from behind the arc for all the other things he gives you over most of the guys on the list.

Obviously the Lakers disagree. They gave hill 9m.

I'd love Marion too. But I didn't list him for the same reason as johnson. I don't think Dallas let's him walk.

Am I crazy here or does that equal $59.5? Take into account 6 roster holds and a $63 million cap, how are they paying more than exception?

I agree. Intangibles out weight his weaknesses
