Question A question for my fellow posters

Hi, just a question for you all. Recently my brother and I got into in a debate about superstars. While watching game 5 of finals at Buffalo Wild Wings, he kept going about Kawhi and I told him that Kawhi is a glorified role player. The best role player you can find. I also added how I thought Chandler Parsons was better than Kawhi. He went on talking about Kawhi's defense and I gave him that argument, but then I told him about the offense side of things. How Chandler is a was a way better offensive player than Kawhi. The reason because Chandler can create offensive for himself while also creating space for himself while having a great handle on the ball. I told him all Kawhi does is shoots the 3 and just puts his head and drives to the goal from what I see and his lack of handles shows how he cannot create for himself. So then he went on about rebounding and again I gave him that augment saying rebounding is in a way tied into rebounding. So I told him about how Chandler avg more assist then Kawhi and we agreed that assist is tied into offense. Over all who is better in you opinion. Here are the highlights of both players, If I am wrong then so be it.

Kawhi is an 83, Parsons is a 78 IMO. Stars are 90's. Superstars are 95+

Parsons slightly more versatile offensively, but Leonard kills him on boards, defense, intangibles, etc. And honestly, we don't know enough about whether Kawhi can do more on the offensive end and he is just not need to yet.

That's the biggest down fall on the debate, knowing the type of coach Kawhi plays for and the offense they run, but even so Kawhi strikes me as a plane Jane type player... Nothing really pop's out to me

I will say this - I don't know FOR A FACT that Kawhi can dunk on me. I know Parsons can. So, bring that up to your buddy and see if that sways him.

Not for Parsons being better, but I support you in Kawhi not being a super star. He's a solid starter but not a no.1

I would still say no. But they are asked to do such different things that it is impossible to know

Neither are superstars right now.. Smd

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Like I said kawhi lacks handles which limits creating offensive for himself
