Is Sam Young At Mini-Camp?

Excuse me if it's been mentioned, but I was reading a newspaper article about Russ Smith this morning and I swore I recognized Sam Young in one of the pictures.

Guy in question is the only one wearing long sleeves to the left. If yall do not remember him, he last played for the Pacers but spent three seasons with the Grizzlies. So anyway, looking through the pictures on the Pels website I see this:



Is that Young over #52's head? It's mostly just curiosity on my part.

Sam Young and Patric Young are probably gonna have a "Who can work the hardest"-off.

Sam Young is a basketball-aholic. Will probably become a coach one day. He has the look, even. He's kind of a 6'6" Lance Thomas, but with more actual ability...but not a whole lot more.

I'm not surprised they're taking a look at him because he fits the bill on what type of player they're looking for. I've always liked the grit to his game. He's shown flashes of talent before but just not enough consistently.

Not really. But then, AD doesn't look much bigger either. It takes a really drastic change in weight/size to be noticeable at a glance. Like AD for instance..

From that terrible angle, Withey's calves look bigger. Still, he had less than a 10% gain in weight. Hard to tell with only memory to go off of.

I'm 6'2 and 88kg's.
I was up at around 92 and as low as 83.

People notice you when you put on weight.....not so much when you lose it.

Sam young is a highlight reel when it came to dunks, played in Sydney where i live last season in the NBL. but his not a winner, never seen a player give no effort at all like him.. and he wasnt even that good, worst shooter ive seen.

good weight for these guys to put on is a lot of muscle in their core so lower back, thighs & waist. not gonna be easy to notice

I loved Sam Young when he was on the Grizzlies. He was a good scorer off the bench with terrible defense. He seemed to really fall off though. I don't know if it was just a confidence thing or what. Can't hurt that we him at training camp but doesn't seem like a great fit for our team.
