    Who stands out?
Okafor. Not sure how any GM ever thought he was worth that amount. At least there was an argument for EJ since he had talent and displayed massive scoring potential at a very dead position (SG). Bogut, when healthy, is a top 5 defensive big who rebounds the ball. Lee has multiple all star seasons to his name and used to be an automatic 20/10 player (though he's the second most confusing one here).

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Amazing golden state has 28 millions committed to those two. Not sure they're worth half as much

Davis Lee, because he's the only one in the group who doesn't make 14 million. What do i win?

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

emeka was actually a pretty good player when he entered the league and earned his paycheck. Charlotte fans look at that list and ask the same question when they see an also undersized player that can't stay healthy and is only average in pretty much any stat being paid 14M. Okafor turned out to never develop how everyone expected, never added a post game or improved his FTs and struggled with injuries, but still played very well early in his career, Gordon had one good season and got paid like he produced enough to earn it. Don't believe me? see for yourself.

    Okafor: http://www.basketball-reference.com/...okafoem01.html

    Gordon: http://www.basketball-reference.com/...gordoer01.html

side note: didn't know Gordon was also known as the hobbit hahaha

Gordon isn't the worse player on that list. Silver lining.

He is the worst one with multiple yrs still remaining on his contract at that price.

In fact, a more accurate list would be guys who have that salary moving forward. That would show just how terrible the contract is

Wouldn't Gordon be 1 of 3 players on that list to play the majority of his games this year?

    That is odd......

Thats a lot of money going to a lot of bad basketball.

This is why GM's lose their jobs in the NBA people.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

The silver lining really is that the cap is going up and a bunch of guys are about to join the north of $13m club in the next 2 off seasons. Some of these deals will almost instantly be viewed as worse than Gordon's expiring $15m.

    Kyle Lowry
    Eric Bledsoe
    Greg Monroe
    Lance Stephenson
    Gordon Hayward
    Marcin Gortat
    Rajon Rondo
    Kyrie Irving
    Goran Dragic
    Klay Thompson
    Kawhi Leonard
    Thad Young
    Kenneth Faried
    DeAndre Jordan

Yeah, once this season is past or he opts out, he is no longer a bad contract. I dont even care about this year because their arent any FA's I want. But if his contract keeps us from jumping into the 2015 pool, then I will get mad. For now, I am fine with him here. Just gotta make sure he is gone before July 1st of 2015.

Kyle Lowry- will be worse (funny to think we passed on him and Rondo and drafted Cedric Simmons and Hilton Armstrong instead)
    Eric Bledsoe- wont be worse
    Greg Monroe- will be worse
    Lance Stephenson- wont be worse
    Gordon Hayward- wont be worse
Marcin Gortat- will be worse (his age)
    Rajon Rondo-wont be worse
    Kyrie Irving-wont be worse
    Goran Dragic- might be worse
Klay Thompson-Whoever gives him a max deal will be fired the following season.
    Kawhi Leonard- Worth every penny.
Thad Young- Did not know he was from New Orleans. Worth it.
    Kenneth Faried- Worth it
DeAndre Jordan- Will be worth it
Thats my simple take on it.

is Young worth it because he's from NOLA? IMO I don't see him as even a starter on a contender.

  24. #24
I didn't know he was from New Orleans. I think he could turn into David West. In 76er land he is a lost soul, and he needs to get out if he wants to grow.

Rashard Lewis, Mario Chalmers, George Hill, Roy "Zeros" Hibbert, Tiago Splitter, Danny Green, Kendrick Perkins, and Reggie Jackson have all started games in the conference finals. I think we sometimes overvalue what it takes to start on a contender. Unlike other sports, in the NBA all you need is 2.5 stars and you'll be contending with replacement level players.
