the Legend has spoken!
LOL I was about to post this but was too lazy and too busy laughing lol
R.I.P. to HunnyB/FlyGirl
just glad i don't have to worry all offseason if monty would actually try to get this guy re-signed next season
I'm wondering if we aren't letting Steimer walk now to see if he can catch on with a playoff team as depth off the bench.
Remember the days when Ely was our best player? Lol I wouldn't be surprised if McNamara is doing some cartwheels right now lol
Wow I thought he retired years ago.
I didn't realize he was still even playing.
I'm so happy. This day is up there with the day we won the right to draft AD!
I didnt know he was still alive. Melvin Ely aka MJG

Someone care to venture a reason as to the timing. Is there some obscure cap considerations being made here? I'm just curious. Call me shallow, but I'm just really sensitive about the public perception of our team. Who releases a player at this time?

Or maybe he had attitude problems
If you want to hear God laugh tell him your plans.

Ouch.
If you would've told me we dropped Steamer for someone else, I would've automatically assumed it was an upgrade. It's not like there's anyone in the league who's really worse.
Then Dell goes and picks up someone who isn't in the league anymore. Well played, Dell.
I was 100% behind not bringing Steimsma back. He was unbelievably useless. However, this move, with 2 games left makes no sense whatsoever. The only cap ramifications I can even think of is if there is a cap hold on him as a FA, but they could renounce that if so. Also, if they are going to do something like this, whey not get a young big to see if he is worth a summer league invite? Just an overall puzzling move by Demps.
I don't know why Steamer feels upset. He got paid 2.5M this year to make our team worse. He made more than I will make in my lifetime because he is tall. We both have the same basketball skills which is none. He should be thanking God that his genetics have made him a millionaire while the rest of us have had to be smart/talented to make 2-3% what he made this year.
