Rumor possible release of Jordan Farmar

Maybe to make room for Rivers....

This world is crazy. I would have traded Rivers for Farmar. Lol

I saw that they are trying to trade him, but if they can't, they'll waive him

Q: Are 10 day contracts fixed salaries, or could we sign him to a 10 day and outbid other 10 day offers?

I have no earthly idea what Demps might do (if anything), but he still has that 2nd to play with....

No. 10 day contract amounts are based on how many years you have played in the league. The only ways to get Famar would be 1) Trade for him. 2) Claim him off of waivers. 3) If he clears waivers offer him a contract (10 day, rest of year, or multiple years).

The trade, sources said, will send Rivers to the Clippers, former L.A. first-round pick Reggie Bullock to the Suns and two players to the Celtics: Phoenix big man Shavlik Randolph and L.A. swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts.

I wouldn't be a fan of bringing him in (and I am probably in the minority on this one). I really don't see any upside in bringing him in on a guaranteed contract when he will only slightly be an upgrade over what we have now. I would prefer letting who we have now gel with their current situational players, and move forward, besides, he will probably try matching up with a legit contender.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

never been a Farmar fan, but if Wolters doesn't work out I'd rather Farmar than say somebody like Mike James (although props to James for still going at his age, is he trying to last as long as Rouf...)

Coincidentally Farmer and Jrue were both guards at UCLA and both are married to professional soccer players.
