Espn article ranking today's nba front offices

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10...top-executives

What do u all think of this ranking? I personally think a few belong behind dell that are in front. Such as the magic, hawks, jazz, and a few others I think are right there with dell are raptors, and suns.

I would rank our front office much higher. But I know why ESPN has us at such a low ranking. It's because they've hated the Jrue trade since day one, and have Gordon and Evans as two of the worst contracts in the league.

I don't understand how all together we got a 4.6 rating though. How does Benson not get a 9 or 10? He's done nothing but amazing things for the team as the owner. Even if you gave Monty and Dell both 4s Benson should get 10s and that'd still put us at a 6 rating.

Meh. End of the day, it's ESPN.

I can see us maybe deserving to be moved up a few spots to somewhere like 15 but then again if the metrics are short and long term success on the court we have had little and I can understand the position.

I mean how much higher can you realistically put us and defend it without looking like a homer?

Frankly after next season we should find out if Dell's master plan is a successful model or a failure. If the pieces click and we make the playoffs we should climb pretty high up that chart. If we don't I think I'd have no argument dropping dell into the bottom tier.

Credibility of this? Well, it just says Dell Demps. If they did their research they'd know that Loomis helps a lot as well.

I don't think it is too far off. I may raise him a couple of spots, but not much more compared to the others. I would think Demps is fairly clearly in the bottom half of the league thus far. I would be curious as to what other executives think of him as well.

It is about right (give or take a spot or two).
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I pretty much agree with you....I think next year will be an extremely important one for both Dell and Monty.... for next season, lets hope for better health, a head coach who seems to be catching on to things a bit better, and a couple of helpful roster moves.... then we can revisit this list this time next year....

He should be higher than the train wreck in Los Angeles

Dude needs to make the playoffs with a roster that wasn't handed to him before we get slurped.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

The train wreck in LA is about right, they should be better given the amount of injuries they are dealing with.

Del built this team, he can sink or swim with the production they put forth.

Honestly, we're too high. This year will mark #6 without a playoff series win.
Old fan. Tired fan. I want to believe.

But how many years have we had this front office?
The grade was given based off the perceived quality of the moves made, not the result in the league so far.

Our front office is not that bad.
The roster is very talented. Especially the starting lineup.
    The moves are made:
Jrue Holiday = All Star point guard
Eric Gordon = how dare you; the clippers Gordon should be an all star.
Tyreke Evans = lately he showed his talent. Come on: the rookie Tyreke was a beast.
Ryno = one of the best stretch fours in the league.
    The Brow= future HOF.
Austin Rivers = was a risky draft pick. Shows he can be a solid 6th man.
Withey and Smith are good back up big men.
Now the front office tries to bring that kind of surprise player like the San Antonio Spurs are successful of developing or picking.
    Aminu was not the answer.
Miller could become a three point specialist of the bench.
    James Southerland ????
Still there will be a busy summer to find our Bruce Bowen.
Looks like this team has a higher upside than most playoff teams.
