from his instragram accompanied by a pic of him in the hospital (which I'm having trouble embedding here)... anyone know what he was having surgery on?tyrekeevans

Surgery went great!! Can't wait to start my re-hab & get back on the court with my teammates !! @van_smack on my side with the support !

I'm hoping it's like a hernia or something like that, that would be private and he'd keep to himself. I swear if it's an ankle or knee I'll be crushed. Next we will hear about AD having surgery.
What we know: the pic shows a head and at least a thumb, everything else is questionable

If he wanted this to be a private issue he wouldn't have publicly shared the picture on Instagram. Furthermore, he implies that this affects his ability to play/train, making it of more interest to the fans.
This is just the Saints policies on injury information moving over to the Pelicans, the difference is, there is definite strategic value in the information games Sean Payton plays with Saints injuries. That same strategic value just doesn't exist in the NBA, especially in the offseason. This is obviously minor and it makes zero sense for the Pelicans to not have a release about it.Can't wait to start my re-hab & get back on the court with my teammates !!
Dang I didn't have tubes in my nose and all that stuff when I had surgery on my Achilles. They got Reke looking like he just had a triple bypass.
quietly ended the year averaging 15, 5 & 5. not bad considering how poorly he started off the bench
