Arena Getting New Tiles?

guessing/hoping the purple is just one of many colors they could use, like the dome.

Interesting. I was looking away when they flashed that on screen. Be nice if they give the arena the same lighting equipment the dome has.

And, interestingly enough, the Smoothie King Center has really grown on me as a name. Not unlike the Pels have.

I'm with you. Smoothie King Center does have a smooth (no pun intended lol) sound to it. The gray look it not bad. Definitely an improvement to the mint green.

I got the same thing with mine. Basketball aside that enough right there for me to pay in full. Plus having both the Sants and Pells off my back till February ish next year makes it even better.

The arena has been an eyesore more so since the dome got polished up. Outsert owners would joke that the arena looked like a big bathroom for the dome.

Please make this happen, either way I am still gonna pay in full.

They just gotta get it ready for June 2015 the finals are coming fast.

I always thought the color was off and it didn't mesh well with the Superdome. This looks a lot better IMO.

Not sure why they do not just paint it a color similar to the Dome.

Does this mean we'll also be getting new floor tiles too? Even now they have this annoying yellowish hue that makes it look like the arena has jaundice.

I really like the new look. Benson is really doing alot of things with the pelicans. He's change the team name, top of the line practice facility, actual name on the arena, and renovations.

They aren't being replaced, they will be painted.

Here are 4 colors they've painted on the side of the arena. The picture isn't too bright and is taken from behind tinted windows. A good idea of what colors they might be choosing to paint the arena.

The first color appears to be white and the other 3 are shades of grey.

I drive by the arena every day (my office is in the Energy Building), they have been doing an awful lot of work there (the traffic getting through, or around the arena is a pita).
