Nope. If you would of told me that this is the roster we'd play most of our games with, I would think we'd be bottom 10 in the league at least.
We are not just injured, we are also REALLY young. So "underachieving" should not be a surprise.

You think a team with Brian Roberts as its starting PG should be in contention for the 8th spot in the West?

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Here's why we're not underachieving
Outside of AD, Gordon, Jrue, Ryno, and Reke, the rest of the team are rejects and non-NBA caliber payers.
Rivers - shouldn't be in the NBA. He should be finishing up his junior year @ Duke
Miller - should be in the D-League or overseas
Smith - back-up PF playing starting C
Ajinca - has potential. Doesn't have an NBA body.
Withey - has potential
Aminu - back-up playing starting SF
Roberts - SG in a PG's body
Morrow - Shooting specialist. Doesn't offer much else
Babbitt - I can't call him yet
Steimsma - Not a starting caliber C
Oh yeah, coaching is bad as well. So no, the Pels are not underachieving

The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.
ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.
GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding
These words should not be used lightly
Considering Davis/Gordon have stayed relatively healthy this year, we are underachieving imo. I just don't think people understand just what a massive beast Davis is.
1) I notice people are loving that Monty experimented with his rotations last night, and this is why I have a problem with what he did. We put in players that were playing poorly to match up with Phoenix's lineup. How about playing the guys (Withey) that are playing well and forcing Phoenix to deal with the consequences of going small? Putting in Aminu for Withey last night changed the game.
2) Davis was en fuego last night. No coach in their right mind would let him go 4-5 minute stretches without being the focal point of the offense.
3) Why the hell is Roberts so ball dominant when he is in the game and why has that issue not been addressed? Want to keep starting him? Fine. But why does Austin Rivers understand that "my job is to bring the ball up the court to give it to Reke/Gordon" while Roberts remains so ignorant on that strategy.
Monty coached one of his "better games" last night and there were still so many, many flaws.
I think an healthy EG and Davis and using Tyreke correctly with better line up most definitely we should have a better record like I said we've lost plenty of games due to awful lineups this year. Once we get a real coach people will notice on how close he is to Lebron level to making any team instant winners.
