Until Jrue gets back, I'd go with...
    Roberts/Rivers
    Gordon/Morrow
    Reke/Aminu
    Davis/Babbit
    Ajinca/Withey

That's just me. I think Reke rebounds and defends adequately enough that he can start at SF. Play Roberts off ball and have Gordon and Reke initiate the offense for the starters, and give Rivers Reke's current role.

That should really come from substitution patterns, I know Monty may not view it this way, but nothing says all 5 starters need to be on the bench at the same time.
It's that the Hornets unashamedly quit so quickly in Game 4 after fans in New Orleans showed up this season with greater regularity than the team could have ever dreamed, shaming misinformed know-it-alls like me who kept telling you that local residents couldn't possibly invest their time and money into something as trivial as rooting for the local basketball team while still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. - Mark Stien ESPN

I have no idea what the stats say, but to me Tyreke and Rivers should not play many minutes together. They both are most effective driving to the hoop and neither is a viable spacing option since both lack reliable jump shots. Redundant talents. Both would seem to benefit from playing with either Gordon or Roberts who can shoot outside of 7 feet instead of each other.

I thought he would last year but he signed with us for minimum did he not?

I've honestly lost any reason to play Aminu period at this point. his lack of spacing outweighs his skills on the defensive end too heavily. the fall off with Miller/Morrow on defense is far outweighed by the benefits on offense

My 2nd unit would be at least Rivers, Morrow, Reke, Babbitt, and Withey only because they will most likely be your bench next year. If Morrow leaves put Reke at the 2 and Miller at the 3. Since Babbitt and Ryno play about the same you don't have to change schemes for the 2nd unit.

    STARTING:
    PG: Tyreke
    SG: Gordon
    SF: Aminu
    PF: AD
    C: Withey

    2nd unit:
    PG: Rivers
    SG:Morrow
    SF: babbit
    PF: AD
    C: Ajinca

    Run n Gun (small)

    PG: Roberts
    SG: Rivers
    SF: Tyreke
    PF: Babbit
    C: AD

    against a bigger squad:

    PG: Tyreke
    SG: Morrow
    SF: Aminu
    PF: AD
    C: Withey/Ajinca

(id rather not play roberts but we have no choice... THE ONLY WAY Steimsma sees the court is if AD , & Ajinca both get into early foul trouble.. which is pointless bc he avgs more fouls than he does pts it seems)

but with what we have to work with id go with these line ups.. really wish pierre would get a chance.

THIS SHOULD BE OUR ROSTER BECAUSE OF OUR INJURIES NOW

    STARTERS
    PG- RIVERS
    SG- GORDON
    SF- AMINU
    PF- DAVIS
    C - AJINCA

    SECOND UNIT
    PG- ROBERTS
    SG- MORROW
    SF- TYREKE
    PF- BABBITT
    C- WITHEY/STEAMER

    END OF GAME
    PG- ROBERTS
    SG- GORDON
    SF- TYREKE
    PF- BABBITT
    C- DAVIS

From here out I'd be in evaluation mode, starting:

    PG-Rivers
    SG-Gordon
    SF-Miller
    PF-Davis
    C-Withey

    2nd Group:
    PG-Roberts (though mainly shooting guard)
    SG-Evans (though primary ball handler)
SF-Morrow (small line up/ lots of shooters for Reke)
    PF-Babbitt
    C-Ajinca

Floater: Aminu at SF/PF for defensive purposes as needed, but diminished minutes

    EOTB: Steamer

I'd really like to see what Tyreke can do with more spacers on the floor. With this line up he'd have three legit 3-point shooters and a decent mid-range shooter in Ajinca. Defense might be an issue, but hey...

I'm down with this. Maybe let Ajinca start and platoon with Withey. But otherwise much better than Monty's bad mashups.
