Draft question....
Just curious... how does the draft order work with playoff teams? For instance, say the Pelicans go 41-41 and miss the playoffs, but the Detroit Pistons go 40-42 but nab the 8th seed in the horrendous East. Does Detroit get a better spot in the draft because they had a worse record, or do we get the better spot because even though we have a better record, we missed the playoffs and Detroit made the playoffs?

Nah. We would get a better pick. All non playoff teams go in the top 14 lottery and then all the playoff teams are slotted from there

All 14 non-playoff teams (if they haven't traded their pick) pick ahead of the playoff teams.
