New Kenner theatre to open doors December 12....

Kenner moviegoers will be getting an early Christmas present this year. The local Southern Theatres chain will open its newly built Kenner multiplex -- named the Grand 14 Esplanade -- on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 12.

I cannot wait to try this theatre out. We won't have to drive to Metairie. But I really thought it was going to be an AMC theatre.

That's what my daughter was asking me, if it was going to be an AMC theatre. She likes using this little reward card she has, I can't remember the name of it. Stubs or something like that. Well, at least you won't have to go to Metairie.

You reminded me that I have a Stubs card. It's really useful for me because we love going to the movies. It looks like I will still have to go to Metairie.

So it appears the Grand Theaters now have a rewards card. Looks like it's $10 a year. My daughter just told me that Stubs is $12 a year. I had no idea because I just use her card.
