I'd make Holiday be the Flair or tully Blanchard or switch him with Davis. Also put in Jason Smith due to how long he's been with the group. And either Oden or Ryno as the 4th guy.
Smith and Anderson (well, duh) would be the Anderson's. I'd actually make Jrue the Tully, since he's the other "fashionable" guy besides Flair. Davis is the leader, has to be Flair. My first thought of Oden was JJ Dillon, since he'd be the guy "at ringside" with the injuries, but hopefully that works out better.

Eric Gordon could be our JJ Dillion same with Tyreke. Low energy but soft speakers and can do everything from the sidelines.

I just got hit with a fairly ominous feeling of inevitably signing with the Heat. Too much smoke for too long... my feeling is that we made our offer, Conley tried to leverage that into a longer offer from the Heat, he failed, but that is where Greg by all indications wants to be regardless of money. And that's fine, I hope he can play basketball again period.

Seems reasonable. The wait has been to get more money out of the Heat, but that could very well be a secondary concern for him.

    Or could it...

Well, I just got off the phone with Oden and he told me to stop calling him because no Oden lives there.

i'm with you. would really be strange to cut mike miller who they knew was healthy and then add most of the luxury tax they saved by doing so on Oden. taking a risk instead of a sure thing guy who made big shots for them is hard to wrap my head around

I wonder how hard it would be for Miami to move some other contracts to help their payroll for the signing of oden?

I think that is if they commit more than 1M.

They could make a deal with the 76ers (who need to take on salary) to take on a salary like James Jones ($1.5 million) if they want to give up future draft picks.

They have the taxpayer MLE ($3.183 million). If they offer all of that, the total cost, including tax would be in the neighborhood of $11 million

Sorry, but what is the most the Heat could offer without paying the tax?
Also what is the most the Pels can pay.....is it around 2.7M to 3M and two years?

    TY

Heat are already paying the tax, so any additional salary adds to the tax (so best to offer league minimum). Pelicans can offer up to a 2 year deal starting at $2.652 million this season.
