But how??? Is it against the law for teams to sign free agents who are superstars? It would have been awesome if Lebron came here. We would have ship after ship after ship with him, CP3, and DWest. I would not care about Cleveland or their butthurt feelings or what people think about us buying rings (whatever that means).

I love our roster w/out him... and I mentioned a while back that I don't expect much from him this year anyway. I don't expect us to make a Finals run this season, but this season will give our guys a chance to learn to play together, and maybe next season (if we do land Oden) we'll be ready make some SERIOUS noise in the West.

With our roster as-is we're a playoff team (7th/8th seed).

And that it turns out as well. Remember Brees' injury was career-threatening and he was considered a major gamble by the media. Signing Oden is thought to be a similar gamble. I hope signing Oden produces a similar result for the Pelicans.

I agree our roster is nice without him ! We are just missing a post player to make a deep run in the PO! Oden will be a great option if he is healthy.

    What does that even mean

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Our roster without Oden makes us one the most exciting up and coming teams in the next few years. Our roster with a healthy Oden playing at even 75% of his former self IMO makes us THE premiere up and coming team in a couple years.

I really don't think people should downplay just what a healthy Oden could do for this franchise. We'd literally be able to match up offensively and defensively with any lineup in the league and have one of the deepest young teams in recent memory.

With a 10 man lineup of:
    Holiday/Rivers
    Gordon/Evans
    Aminu/Miller
    Davis/Anderson
    Oden/Withey

We have not only a talented, deep roster, but a lineup that is an average of 22.9 years old. That is scary.

And yes I realize there are more people behind 2nd string. That's why I said "10 man roster".

If healthy, that roster can do some damage. Can't wait for season.
This team aint wining nothing with this coach, we can make all the excuses we want. Unfortunately excuses don't win games.

DEFENSE...when people talk about this team's potential the main they forget is defense. This team has scary defensive potential with Oden. Would a healthy Oden be close to potentially healthy Noel? If so then the "Block Party" may still be on in the future...

Finally someone realizes that people can back up more than one position, really just roles on the floor. Aggravates me people just put Evans for example at back up for one "position". The only thing I'd change is I think Rivers will get more minutes at "SG" than Morrow most nights, unless the matchup calls for a floor spacer. I think Rivers will play just as much off the ball as bringing the ball up.

Rivers hasn't developed into a good off the ball player yet. Rather see him get 10-15 minutes running the point. But this is off topic.

Just made a couple changes like Aminu can & will play some 4 and Rivers will play some 2. Almost put Davis & Anderson at the 3, since both may play some minutes there if we get Oden IMO.
