"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Damn didn't realize that the top 3 picks belong to playoff teams in the west. That's.... No words to describe.
The Kings inherited a bad team. Made some moves that made their team worse but capitalized on their future. If anyone deserved the top nod regardless of the nasty "T" word, it was the Kings. They were genuinely that bad and the system f'd them. Oh well. Similar complaints could be made about the three worst records last year but this team clearly earned the top pick. That's the lottery for you.
And the Mavs complaints seem silly considering Sonics were #1 last year and #2 this year.
And well if we went back and looked at where those lotto picks came from I'm sure we'd find that these lotto teams are very careless with their picks.
He "deserved" it; but it is what it is. He'll get a good player and start the rebuild. Hopefully he doesn't get impatient and spend money on a terrible player.
you picked up some picks you shouldn't have. Nobody is haiting on the Heat, Nets, and all of these other guys for picking up top picks. You picked up a free lotto pick and the better player in that mcgrady deal, Nets pick got traded for am ok center at best, my advice? don't trade unprotected picks. I learned my lesson when the Clips got Wade because of me and everyone crowned them as NBAs best team, Mavs got granger because of me.
Even if you think you'll be good don't trade your picks unless you have a guy who gets you 40 wins by himself, it could come back and bite you.
