I don't think Benson, let alone the league would let that fly in today's NBA. Back in those days it wasn't a problem hence forth the Baltimore Bullets and the league made them rebrand into the Wizards.

One nice thing about the rebrand is that we get rid of all the "Bee" related names and slogans, which never made much sense to me, since hornets are wasps, not bees, and live in nests, not hives.

My wife suggested the Magnolias at the game on friday. Thought since we are using the state bird, then the state flower for the dance team would be nice.

I initially thought "Peli-Queens" but someone might confuse those Queens with the "Queens" on Bourbon Street.

Thank you thank you! I'd like to give a special shout out to the old comedy show In Living Color. But yeah, someone asked me and I said Fly Girls in about 2.5 seconds. It's just so obvious!
