I didn't want to make a new thread about this but did anyone see first take today? I didn't get to watch it entirely but there apparently was a segment about the new logo/name. Missed that part but leading into a commercial break they showed the new logo and when the camera was moving away the announcers were briefly talking about it and one of them tells another "Have you ever brought food outside and try to eat when there are pelicans around? they will BITE you. I mean BITE you". Thought that was funny.

And another option, his avatar. One thing I have never liked about the Hornets since day 1 was our logo. Was so happy when the FDB came out.
Didn't they say something about that smaller font being the same font as our street signs? I like it.

Yeah, I agree with everyone that the FDL could stand to better. Other than that, I have no real complaints.

I don't hate it or love it. Not the best Pelican logo I've seen and it isn't the worst.

I love it. And I'm REALLY beginning to hate HardwoodParoxysm, the site and twitter amount.
I like the name but I dont think the logo is great, whys the pelican gotta look so evil?

Gotta make it intimidating in someway because that is what counts.
I think the Pelican looks Focus, Fierce, Intense. I wouldn't say evil, but I could see where people get that from with the red eyes and all... I guess. I think the eyes make the pelican.
Not a big fan of the Pelican name, but I love the logo.
Wow, that's amazing so many people have jumped on board with the logo. Nice job peeps. I love the Fleur De Lis by the far the best.
Really...I love following the twitter account. I haven't seen many of his Pelicans tweets, though. I'll have to go look.

You wouldn't have wanted to watch it. I caught the last half or so of the segment and it was basically "LOLOLOL Pelicans aren't cool...what is New Orleans thinking...worst name ever how uncool...such an up and coming organization with "cool" people (Monty, Ayers, Rivers, etc.) but not a cool name"
