We need Saints defence to take care of Klay Thompson.

  5. #180
Anyone still think Gordon is anywhere near 100%? He couldn't get by Klay Thompson for crying out loud.

Klay could be elite sg real soon

I don't know who this Thompson is but he has 24 ****ing points and it needs to be stopped in the 2nd half. And why is it this team thats supposed to be so defense oriented can't defend the 3pt shot to save their lives. And its not just this game either....

It's hard to believe he was drafted 11th.

6'7 above average athlete and a deadeye shooter, with just enough handles to get off his own shot. I'm surprised his name isn't mentioned more with the young up and comers. He can easliy be a top 5 SG 2 or so years from now.

someone put an APB out for the Hornets defense... especially whoever's supposed to be guarding that Klay Thompson guy

He also can't keep up with him through the screens either. Whatever this is, I hope it's his knee being tight and him not trusting it, so it'll pass in time, more than something that'll require more surgery and time missed.

We can get em in the second half if we step our D up.

yep...i mean we're shooting 60% but the Warriors are shooting 67%....D needs to step up tremendously in the 2nd half.

Subpar 1st half. I think we'll be fine in the second half. Just need to play harder defensively.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Why won't Monty teach them how to defend the 3?

Well, he's shooting under 40% from the field, which is God-awful for a "shooter." I'd say he isn't having a stellar season in terms of efficiency, but there's plenty of time to turn that around. He is a very good player.

I just don't understand why our guys keep leaving them when the PG penetrates. That's what our post guys are for - the 2nd layer to stop penetration. I just don't get it...

In order to defend the 3, you must prevent the opposing team from getting that deep into the post. Once they get deep into the post, the help defense comes. Golden State does what you don't expect teams to do... and that's passing it out that deep in the post.

It's definitely not good, but his FG% really isn't as horrible as it seems. Literally half of his shots are from 3. Not easy to have a quality FG% when that's the case.
