Baron having wonderful season but no where near the improvement of Artest. People just voting elsewhere ot be different.

Baron's production is amazing considering his MPG only went up 3%. Any other year Baron or Jefferson gets it, but Artest went from a throw away to fringe All Star. I think the net gain from Artest was much higher, but I consider Baron and Jefferson the better player.

A few writers feel the jump from good player to superstardom is more impressive than a jump to good from an increased usage. In no way do they discredit Artest for his accomplishments. Only Baron Davis has jumped from good point guard to first or second team ALL NBA.
