Check out last years league for reference
In this ReDraft all players listed on NBA rosters for the 2012-2013 will be available to be Redrafted.
The draft will be a snake draft (with a quirk to be explained) with 24 teams. The draft order will be random.
If the first pick in round 1 is cleveland and the last pick is New Orleans, New Orleans will have the 1st pick in round 2 and Cleveland will have the last pick just like a traditional snake draft. However in order to conserve balance in round 3 New Orleans would draft first and Cleveland would draft last, Cleveland would draft first in round 4 and New Orleans last. With Cleveland first in round 5 and last in round 6. In other words it would look like this
#1 Cleveland 1 round 1
#24 New Orleans 24 round 1
#25 New Orleans 1 round 2
#48 Cleveland 24 round 2
#49 New Orleans 1 round 3
#72 Cleveland 24 round 3
#73 Cleveland 1 round 4
#96 New Orleans 24 round 4
#97 Cleveland 1 round 5
If we decide that this format is too complicated I'll make it a regular snake I just thought this would keep teams from complaining about not getting a superstar in a superstar driven league.
Trades will be allowed but all trades will be reviewed by the commissioner and be subject to a veto if deemed overly lopsided. There will be a trade block thread where you can announce moves you are looking to make. All finalized trades will be posted in a finalized trades thread.
The playoffs will contain all 24 teams randomly matched up and the winner will be determined in a fan vote. It will be single elimination with seeding determined each round by margin of victory. When the field reaches 3 teams the team with the largest margin of victory will get a bye to the championship game.
No Keepers (due to questionable anual turnover)
There may be a rookie draft (random order, separate from the redraft)
please comment below with your preferred team if you are interested.
