Yeah I agree. This trade wouldn't make any sense at all.

Yeah I agree. This trade wouldn't make any sense at all.

Why do we trade for a player who is going to be a free agent? And why do we give up Anderson to get him? That's just dumb.
Do not want! I enjoy having Anderson here and from what I can tell windows he!
Please tell me this trade is from someone who supports Atlanta.

Ohhh trade our prized FA for a 1/2 season rental of Josh Smith, seems fair.

In all fairness, none of the other scenarios are that good for an expiring Josh Smith

These people actually get paid to write these {edited - veiled cursing} ?
Fascinating.
He may get paid to write, but it is a blatant mistake by his employer to do this,
and a tragedy on my behalf for having witnessed it.
Aminu is about to give some team, hopfully us, about five years of dunks, defense and hustle in a similar fashion to what Josh Smith has ALREADY done for the Hawks. I'd say his game falls into the Leol Deng category. Anderson is the perfect sixth man.
If the Hornets did this I'd faint. We need another ball-handler, quick. Blatant gap on one of the best squads in the league; hence I think the hornets would trade for a guard if they were legitimately in the playoff race. Similar to the Bonzi 0and Mike James fiasco/tragedy!
to think we went 7 w the champs and barely lost, with bonzi, james and mo pete all playing ahead of Rasual butler and Birdman(THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
I would rather have Aminu on locked up for the next five, and Anderson's current deal
I dunno man, if he's able to start knocking down that outside jumper like he did last game, and keep that same intensity and focus he's been playing with lately? Al-Faruq can be a huge factor. Him and Anthony on the floor together with that length and explosiveness is somethin' special.
He is currently shooting 27.7% on his jumpers and is 10 for 50 on the season on shots that are 16 feet or further out. If he gets that, yes he will be dangerous, but let's be real- that part of his game is not coming. Love his rebounding and defense as of late, but teams are able to cheat off him and it is going to be hard to win at a high level with a guy who is so limited offensively. Good starter for now, great backup when we become contenders, but let's not set the bar too high because we will only be disappointed
@mcnamara247
Aminu could and maybe should factor into our long term plans. But as a pure starter? I wish we had way more offense from our 3.
Well last game, he was like 100% on jumpers that were 16.735 feet out or further. And I think now having a fellow long, lanky-armed teammate and friend will help Al-Faruq. Anthony's worked out a pretty good shooting form with his long arms, and Al-Faruq now finally is able to see someone with such a similar frame shoot jumpshots well many many times in practices and games. I think he'll improve in this area over the summer. But in the meantime, he just needs to keep up that lockdown defense and the hustle and great free throw shooting and the dunks. And plus, the African ancestor spirits of his tribal peoples strengthens him.
Guys, Davis along with Aminu is what's making us the legit threat we are. Seriously, around the country, a person sees a win-streak and figure the team is hot. We are not hot, we are something that we can bring every night.
Passes aren't made, drives to the goal are kicked back out, and inside shots are altered. This is done by sporting two defensive players with 7'4" plus wingspans, light on their feet, young, ect. Combined with Lopez, we have one of the hardest teamns to penetrate you'll ever see. People want more offense from him sure, but efficiency is the key. It's better to have a guy make four of six on dunks and putbacks than to have 16 points at a weak shooting percentage. Darius Miller taking Aminu's job is an absolute joke. When you add Aminu to the line-up; we got a lenghty athletic wing to guard the scorer, and another one to back him up.
I know it seems vei overvalued Aminu for a long time. He's already turning into the player I thought he would, not the one people thought should back-up Miller. Time will tell of course.
john henson, amir johnson, andre drummond, aminu, tyson chandler ect. people are finding out that these beanpolls canwin via geometry.
Aminu will eventually get big monry
