Coach K would have coached him up .. He would have matured and grown into his body . Right now he won't receive the proper coaching he needs to develop his game . He has some quickness with the ball in his hands .. But that's the only positive thing I can say about rivers . Just calling it how I see it

Then...where's the benefit? Hiding him where you can't see him? Its just expediting his way off the team.
I can't think of any examples where going down to D-league when the minutes are there has helped a lottery pick.

You are wrong. The coaches and players are both better in the D-League. You also get more practice time compared to college. The only league with more talent than the D-League is the best Euro League.
