I hope the Benson's have some taste and don't name it some corny name. I know they control everything but common now, we dont wanna cheer for the pelicans, voodoo, buccanners(dont wanna have 2 bucks), or some other goofy AFL wanna be team. Knights, and Crecent City Krewwe are my favs and 2 names who I know nobody can complain about
Let the name be Crescent City Unibrows.

Sentences like this are silly. Why can NOBODY complain about those two names? Just because you like them? That makes no sense. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't like Knights, and I'm not fond of Krewe, because it sounds corny to me. You're perfectly within your rights to dislike names and like other names, but don't assume that because you like it nobody can complain about it.

I've heard the name is between the Pelicans and the Angels... I think it all depends on the logo.

They were right on the colors initally... it should be balck gold and red.... those would be great colors.

LOL! Haha, I would actually really like the name Pelicans. But the color combination could be so much more unique.
Count me in the group that thinks. Black gold and Red would be great. Navy gold and red would be ok, could be good if they don't feature navy much. I just don't care for the navy on red look. Unless it's USA.

I don't like Pelicans but I would be fine after by mid-season or so. I could never get behind Spirit or Krewe, those would be great names for the d league.
It was more prominent before the '09 uni change. We basically combined the '64-'95 unis with the '96-'08 ones.
I wonder if they considered the Mardi Gras before they made the final decision

I just really hope the red is a trim like this, and not the primary...Just realized those are the colors of the New Orleans city flag. Makes more sense now
hate red as a primary color. Screams Atlanta to me. Was hoping for Mardi Gras colors..
