    Aminu to play SG?

    Jim Eichenhofer ‏@Jim_Eichenhofer
Monty has considered moving Al-Farouq Aminu to the 2 guard spot in starting lineup, which would create an extremely big lineup for NOLA
Doesn't really say that this is a given but apparently Monty HAS considered it. Thoughts?

ETA: I wonder if he's considering this for only tonight's game or as something permanent.

I would rather Miller start at SG. At least he has a shot.

New Orleans Hornets still without firm rotation

    Jim Eichenhofer ‏@Jim_Eichenhofer
@ALEVYWORLD Keep in mind, sounded more like Monty "thinking out loud," not something he will def do. He was explaining how things are fluid
    Shootaround vs. Jazz notes

Williams on facing the Jazz (8-7) tonight: “Tonight’s a tough game coming back from a road trip. We really want to make sure we bring our energy in front of our fans.”
I think half the city may be gone to Atlanta.

I mentioned a while back that I thought a line up of Gordon-Aminu-Davis-Anderson-Lopez/Smith could be intriguing, for a few minutes per half and depending on the opponent. That may or may not ever happen, but I think it's an interesting combination. If you swap Smith for Anderson, it would probably be our strongest defensive rotation. Only one guy who can really dribble though.

Monty has a twisted sense of humor.

#Hornets Anthony Davis making progress: walking boot off today to ride elliptical & pass ball during practice. No running or shooting yet.

Does Jennifer Hale seem more involved than the media members of the past?

    She's doing an excellent job.

Yeah I don't quite remember sideline reporters Victor Howell or Jordy Hultberg giving shootaround updates.

Because she's a competent reporter that takes her job seriously and doesn't go out of her way to interview B-list celebrities during games. She finds the A-listers.

Boots off. If this persists, and the MRI, which I'm assuming will come soon, happens between now and Saturday, my prediction of him coming back by then could be spot on.

    Jolly good.

I assume that would insert Jason at the 4 & Ryan at the 3...

With that being said if it means Roger Mason getting benched I like it

I'd also prefer Darius or Austin there however

hows he going to get 16 rebounds from there???

  14. #14
I don't like this idea. Moving him to 2 guard means one thing. Monty's solution to our weak perimeter defense is to use Aminu's length there. This will help on defense but will hurt his rebounding and offense as he'll be playing farther from the rim. The interesting thing now is.. whose going to be 3 in this line up? Lance Thomas? Darius Miller? Ryan Anderson? This is going to be brilliant or a train wreck. We'll find out soon enough.

Put Miller at the SG. He's done well defensively and he can make an open 3. Easy solution.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

yep. in our injured state i would think our lineup should look something like :

    vasquez/rivers/roberts
    miller/{mason/roberts} <--- interchangeable
    aminu/thomas/miller
    anderson/smith/thomas
    {lopez/smith}
