Why doesn't our center have any rebounds?

  2. #177
Well, remember, the CP3 Hornets used to do this to the younger Durant/Westbrook Thunder. Well not THIS bad but they used to whip them pretty consistently.

That said, I think I swallowed blood watching this.

Rebounds are overrated. As are points.

It's an adjustment. Even for him. People expect him to tear it up every game I guess. I don't know if I've seen ANY rookie even #1 picks tear it up EVERY single game.

Calling it now, Rivers leads this game in scoring...

I hate losing, but I love improvement.

People must not get what "rebuild" means. You don't come out good right away. This team will take its hard lumps. But they'll grow.

Game's not quite over. Might not win, but I think we at minimum cut the lead in half. Force OKC to play hard to close out the game. Monty's teams know how to play hard.

And seriously. You know all you need to know about AD that he doesn't try to send shots out of bounds. There's a reason the young man doesn't get fouls also and is so efficient. He's not quite what you think he is or should be. He's better.

I also don't think he's much of a vocal leader. That might turn out to become Rivers thing once he gets his feet under him more. Davis leads by performance and example.

I think Anderson leads the Hornets in points, and then Rivers, this game

At this moment, against top NBA talent on the ball...he is. I said he would struggle back in the summer so it's not unexpected. He's got to add weight and earn his stripes. This ain't Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt anymore.

Tank for a lottery pick. Trade away Gordon. Sign Chris Paul back. It all makes sense!

Hornets need to at least get to the free throw line. Man.

And I'll bet if Kevin Martin played on this team he would probably all of a sudden no longer know how to shoot.

OKC is an abomination to Nba basketball. The hatred I have for them makes this game that much worse

Thank you, honestly though I think he'd be okay/above average if he was playing harder or more active, I probably sound like a broken record. He may not be a bad defender but he's certainly playing like one, when a guy is billed up with one of the most amazing defensive careers out of college you expect a little more focus on that side of the ball.
looking for team to bandwagon, pls help

Even if he was Andre Drummond size it'd be no better. Guys like Ibaka and Durant would still give him trouble. He's got no experience right now. He'll have his down moments simply because he's playing pros for the first time. His slim build doesn't mean a whole lot. I'd never say it's inconsequential, but this is part of the process.

Why don't our center have any rebounds? Yall want Anthony to grab Lopez's rebounds too?

Why has Aminu only played 7 minutes?

  20. #195
I can accept the fact that we are a young team and that we are not ready to match up against a red hot Thunder team !
But I want them to play hard on every possession. Right now, we are not focused enough on D and the offensive execution is almost nonexistent.
I like the fact that Smith, Anderson and Rivers don't back down. C'mon AD, focus !!!

All that said. More effort from the whole team is a must. Davis included.

OKC is swaggering all over our floor. Can't let that stand.

Exactly. I'm trying to find out why everyone is on Davis though when no one else seems to be ballin out. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why our 7ft center has NO rebounds.
