Attitudes are contagious

http://www.nola.com/hornets/index.ss..._river_defaultIf there was any member of the New Orleans Hornets who was unhappy to see a five-day break between games, it had to be backup point guard Brian Roberts. Roberts, a 26-year-old rookie who spent the last three seasons playing in Bamberg, Germany, experienced the best night of his brief NBA career in the Hornets' 107-99 win over the Charlotte Bobcats last Friday night, contributing 16 points in 30 minutes, hitting 7 of 8 shots from the field, dishing eight assists and turning the ball over just once.
But Roberts doesn't get a chance to build on that performance until Wednesday night when the Hornets meet the Houston Rockets in the Toyota Center.
In the meantime, he has spent the last couple of days preparing in practice, hoping to continue an upward tick.
"It was a good night and I'm looking forward to Wednesday night and getting back out there," Roberts said Monday after the Hornets workout at the Alario Center. "I've just been going hard in practice, trying to get better and not be satisfied with just one game.
How much time does he have to wait?
He's gonna be waiting a while

Is that necessary?
He certainly has the potential to explode in any given night.
The Hornets seem to have a lot of days off between games.

Great article that calls for Roberts to be the "Surprise Player of the Year."
Pretty bold prediction.
Guess who is putting in time at WBOK 1230 AM Talk Radio... Don't guess, it's me. Tune in on Fridays at 12 noon for Sport-a-Talk with Roe Brown and you might just hear me!
Feel free to PM me for details.
Not that his potential merits starting time in the regular season. Cuz I think he is 27 (?). But how quickly we all forget that he looked better than Vasquez in preseason and better than Rivers in summer league.
I hate our schedule, its sooo bland and dry
New Orleans Pelicans-Seattle Seahawks-Atlanta Braves-Anaheim Ducks
PERFECTION
Baptize them in the water out of Scarface pool,
And feed 'em from the table that held Corleone's food,
If you die, tell them that you played my game
I hope your bullet holes become mouths that say my name.
The cat made some wide open shots, it's not like he broke guys down and got to the rim and made his own jump shots off the dribble. He had wide open shots off the pick and a couple clean uncontested sets shots, like the the 3 in the fourth quarter.
If he has anyone in front him he's shut down. He's a liability on defense and doesn't create offense for others, even on this team he should not have the freedom to shoot or have plays ran for him.
he is playing like Pargo did for us a while back right now but in the preseason he was running the offense like an Andre Miller.....so Im not sure sure who he REALLY is at this point...I will monitor his progress he should be playing over Mason at least....will see about Carroll
