Why cant we just have normal soft drinks? Is it really that hard to partner with Coke? Vast majority of people in the south drink Coke.

It's a bid. Hornets get more money from Pepsi clearly since they won, so no, they can't "just go with coke".

New Pepsi and evamor partnerships lead to drink price cuts and more

    http://www.nba.com/hornets/#/story/n...psi-and-evamor

In addition to new products, the Hornets have also worked diligently with SMG and Centerplate to make several price reductions on concessions. One of the highlights includes dropping the price of 16-oz. draft beers from $8 to $6. On Friday nights, $5 16-oz. draft beers will be available to compliment the Hornets’ Friday Night 12-game Package, which is designed to give fans the opportunity to tip off the weekend with the excitement of an enhanced pre-game party with live music at Champions Square followed by a Hornets game.

Notable reductions also include a $.25 price cut on water, as well as reduced costs on hot dogs, and chicken wings. In addition to the reductions, prices have been frozen on several fan-favorite items, including nachos and chicken tenders.

Hope a lot of things have reduced price someday. Them nachos are too damn pricey. I mean, damn supply and demand. I wish I was the only person that loved nachos. Then they'd plummet and Eman would come out on top!

I wonder if this is what made the 1 dollar beer go away for preseason?

I'm glad to have 6 dollar beer but not if it takes away 1 dollar beer.

I'll tell you guys a little tip we learned since Rouses opened down the street. You can get a loaded burrito there for 6.50 and not touch Arena prices. Many other things as well.

Yeah but it's down the street. It's hard enough to walk to the seats, but now I gotta schlep down to Rouses? Ugh. My laziness is crying.

Yeah that's pretty bad Eman If you park in that area you could just go there first and walk to the game, that's what we did.

I'm fine with Pepsi and, yes, I rarely buy stadium food. I can live for ~three hours without consuming anything. At most I'll get a small drink.
