See. If Vasquez was of the right mindset, he would've pressed out of the full court trap. He had numbers. 3 defenders behind him. Attack, press it, find the open man for the easy bucket. But he's not suited to make those kinda fast twitch maneuvers.

Not really. They mostly just never get an opportunity. That was basic ball-handling.

e: The only thing that was somewhat impressive is how quickly he could run down the court while dribbling under control. It wasn't anything special, though.

Why haven't we tried letting Mason at PG yet? He's kinda quick and has handles

Tell me how many times you have seen the gasol brothers or a Bynum show that "basic ball-handling"

I long to see if Davis can build up the body to not so violently react to that kind of contact.

Again, they don't get the opportunity to and only Pau has the foot speed to run one effectively.

Lebron vs. Vasquez. The greatest mismatch in the history of all sports.

I'd imagine the fact that you are a fan of this team, and seem to hate every element of it has something to do with his assumption.

And the awkwardness to dribble the ball off of his own foot. Thy have had plenty opportunities but choose not to. Davis could have passed it to the wing on his left and let him lob it up to AD but instead he kept it. The dirk's don't get opportunities bc they know they can't and pass.

that was a tough play most bigs wouldn't make, if it was basic ballhandling more bigs would do it.

Scouting report on Vasquez will say first and foremost: "Vasquez will turn over the ball if pressured aggressively."

  21. #196
So now everyone knows. Pressure Vazquez full court, free turnovers.

    Gameday thread: Hornets @ Heat

If Vasques keeps committing stupid turnovers I'm not so sure if he'll get that starting job on opening night...

Strong move right there had 2 defenders fighting for that rebound.
