http://www.nba.com/hornets/news/give...-anthony-davisFrom @oceanback: Are you still growing taller?
Davis: Yes, I think so. I think I’m still getting taller. But right now, I’m trying to get stronger – that’s the biggest key for me. I need to keep working on my game and staying in the gym, then let the rest fall in place. Just staying in the weight room, eat a lot and keep eating, drinking shakes, stuff that will stick to my body and make me stronger. My focus is on (consuming) more calories. I eat probably six or seven times a day. I’m always hungry, so that’s kind of easy for me. [smiles] But I’m not trying to force weight on my body. It’s going to come.
Interesting.... Thoughts?
Didn't Durant grow 2 more inches after being drafted?
Guess who is putting in time at WBOK 1230 AM Talk Radio... Don't guess, it's me. Tune in this Friday for Sport-a-Talk with Roe Brown and you might just hear me!
Feel free to PM me for details.
HORNETS STAAAACKED, LEAGUE should be reasonably concerned.

That's what most of us assumed, only question was how much. I think he'll be a legit 6'11" with speed and quickness in the end.
Scary.
Wherehappens.
How does he know if he's still growing?

It has to be really minuscule at this point. It shouldn't change any of Monty's plans for him.

I imagine he has to buy a lot of custom-made items (and not just clothing) due to his size. If he buys perfect sized items, it wouldn't take much to realize if he's still growing.
His head probably already hits, or comes close to hitting, a lot of doorways. And I couldn't imagine trying to drive a sports car being that tall.
Anyway, he was 6'9.25" w/o shoes and 7'5.5" wingspan at the combine. I wouldn't be shocked if he reaches at least 6'10.5" and 7'6.5" wingspan by the time he stops growing.

I sort of expected it, but to hear it come from him is encouraging. He's gonna be a monster. I'm still holding out for part two of that gigantic growth spurt. I'm predicting 7'6

@ThePraff
I kept growing right until I was 21. Though then it was incremental and my muscle mass just kept increasing even though I was doing more or less the same amount of physical labor around the house and at work.
Everybody's different. He could have another inch and a half to grow.
I've been 6'1 w/ shoes since I was 18, and I just measured 6'2 w/ shoes this week at the doctor's office. I'm 28. Different people grow differently.
We expand and shrink throughout the day. Usually shrinking as the day goes along. If you measure your height in the morning it won't be the same at night. The Genesis book of world record measure height several times before for confirming heights for that very same reason.
Not sure if he's still growing or not, but I can't imagine he would know definitively or not.
For instance, when I wake up in the morning and go to fridge, I'm taller than it. I can easily see over the top. But by the evening, I have to tilt my head up a little to do the same.
Spine compressing and stretching out when sleeping and what not.
I imagine he will grow 1-2 more inches especially with his wing span being huge.

Brad Miller - Samaki Walker - Mickael Pietrus - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
A lot of anecdotes here but none of us really know for sure whether or not he'll grow. He said he thinks he's still growing, and maybe he is, but he isn't even sure himself. We'll have to wait and see. If he is indeed still growing I wouldn't hold my breath for more than 1-2".
Personally I grew to 6'3" at around the age of 14 and have stayed 6'3" ever since. I imagine if anything it's more common to grow to your maximum height around early puberty, but obviously it varies on a person-to-person basis.
