I hear what you're saying. I'm just going to be paranoid about it until it happens.
In LC, we get 100X more coverage on the Astros than we do the Hornets. I mean, other than the lottery win and Davis pick, I've seen more MLS coverage (yes soccer) than NOLA basketball. I totally get why locals hated CST but they were our saviors. LSU stuff. Saints stuff. Hornets. This was all unheard of over here before CST. I'm watching my heroes go away (again, I totally get why the local are cheering) and I'm being told there will be replacements.....but I'm just going to worry until the daye (31st) that it all takes place.
It also just makes no business sense that there would be no huge announcements made about the change.....
Aaaaaaaaaaand....the wife and I had quintuplets, last month. So I'm already in freak out mode and have no time to research things.![]()

Three Year Plan: Currently in Year Three
They will be on Dish but I don't have the exact channel number.
So how tall is everybody on here should we make a new thread for that? lol
I'll start:
5'11 w/o shoes (Davis may have a whole foot on me when its all said and done)
http://www.nola.com/hornets/index.ss..._river_defaultStarting with the Hornets' Oct. 31 season opener against the San Antonio Spurs, games will be televised throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. on the majority of the local video providers, including Cox, DirecTV, Dish Network and AT&T U-Verse. The number of homes is expected to grow as Fox Sports continues negotiations with the other local video distributors, according to a statement released by Fox Sports Thursday.
So pretty much, for me, channel 1038 is going to be FSN NOLA. And I expect it'll happen the day of the game.
About what I expect...
Guess who is putting in time at WBOK 1230 AM Talk Radio... Don't guess, it's me. Tune in on Fridays at 12 noon for Sport-a-Talk with Roe Brown and you might just hear me!
Feel free to PM me for details.
Charter better get on board soon, or I will be placing my Directv order.
Can someone give me their opinion on Directv? Never had them before, so
I want to make sure I'm making a good decision if Charter doesn't get with the program.
While we are expecting candy on Halloween night, it's always possible for your TV provider to egg your house...
just ordered DirecTv, and can't wait! Even if Charter gets FSNO at the 11th hour, I'll still be saving more dough with Dtv. And I'll finally get a DVR! No more missing stuff because Dora the Explorer is on!
If anyone is deciding to switch to DirecTV, use my account number to save us both $100 :-P 58288780
Btw, which channel is it?
Fox Sports New Orleans is channel 678 on DirecTV. The game is on the guide for Wednesday night. What a beautiful sight!
A football game can't stop hurricanes.
It can't fix levees.
Or rebuild houses.
But it can let a city know...
That it's a city once again.
Welcome back, New Orleans.
Does anyone have any information for FSNO as far as Mediacom Cable goes? I can't find any info online, and even calling their support line just now turned up nothing. I'm in the Southwest Alabama area and would hope it'd be available here seeing as I'm only about 4 hours from NO.
Ok channel not launching till Halloween...thanks for that..
Is it going to replace CST on 1037 or is it gonna be 1038?
The game would come on your Fox Sports South channel. So whatever channer Fox Sports South is, then that's where the Hornets should get televised. Let me know Wednesday night if you get the game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us here in Lake Charles. My guide is still saying Mavs at Jazz.
Emeka Okafor - Al Jefferson - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Aaron McKie
Joe Smith - James Posey - Mateen Cleaves
No problem.
In most cases, the plan is to have FSNO slide into FSSW's spot. A cable company rejiggering things is beyond their control, but it's a new `logo' for `the FS in our area' more than a new channel, new station, etc. FS is really a big `blob' that just takes some form locally.
It's confusing, but it's good in that the good-Hornets can be shown across the platforms.
Also, it seems Comcast may be sniffing at CST to add some competition in the RSN market. Fun.
Has anyone heard anything new regarding the negotiations with Charter.
So frustrating.
