Looking at the current trend, those of us with turdy rookies on the team, it takes a couple years for them to gel..

Yeah, which reinforces the idea of me holding onto them like unopened action figures.

They put up flashy stats but they don't win you many games. Rebounding, Scoring, Defense. They usually excel at one of those and are average at best with the other two.

In the offseason, Etan Thomas had A potential. I re-signed him to a big 5 year and after training camp his potential went down to a C. I can't complain still. He's averaging 16 pts, 10 boards with over 50% shooting. He was somehow player of the week as well.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Very proud. I was worried the contract would get to him, but he's easily averaging career highs and even shooting 80% from the FT line. Never expected this. I was hoping for 10 and 9.

Maybe I well. But the Raptors had him last year. He told me he didn't like being Soundwave's "pet project." He didn't know what that really meant.
