I think #20 is OK for us. We have a lot of question marks on this team, but the mid-lower ranking will keep us under the radar. We will sneak into playoffs.

for the Power Ranking followers...here are the first rankings for the 2012-13 season.
Hornets @ #20.
http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings...r/2013/week/-1Whispers around the league persist that ROY favorite Anthony Davis and Co. can make a run at the No. 8 spot out West. I simply prefer to echo what we so often said about Kyrie's Cavs last season: Hope has been restored here, post-CP3, far faster than anyone imagined.

What do you guys think about the Nets at #12?
Kind of ironic that we finished last year at 20, and most expect us to improve this year, yet we start at 20.
12 is fair for the Nets. Don't see anyone behind them who is clearly better. The Bulls could be with a healthy Rose, but he's not healthy. Same with Rubio for Minny.
Emeka Okafor - Al Jefferson - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Aaron McKie
Joe Smith - James Posey - Mateen Cleaves
12 isn't anything amazing -- not like they put them in the top five. For the moves they made you'd hope they would be in the upper half of the league.
"Hornets means nothing." - Tom Benson
Honestly I think 20 is a little generous. I don't think our time is now for we have far too many young unfamiliar parts. I think we're better off with another top 5 draft pick than fighting for a playoff spot anyways.
