No, I don't think we saw him school Brook.

Does anyone have the ability to make a clip of Monty's spin more on Lopez with the hook pass to AD?

Don't know if anyone noticed, but in beginning Monty walked up and gave a pretty strong and friendly shoulder bump to Gordon. That is not something you do to a guy with a badly injured knee. Made me feel a bit better about that situation.

Lot's of good stuff. Monty is a truly great coach. He just has a way of talking to his players, and you can tell that they love playing for him. They almost all were joking with him before practice, and then as soon as practice starts, there isn't a single peep. They shut up and listen, and it is magical. Lots of teaching, no yelling whatsoever, and the players respond great to him. We have a special one.

One major note that I noticed, and the announcers addressed it a minute or 2 later, was that Austin Rivers has a VERY high basketball I.Q. He made a mistake, and Monty corrected him real quick, they ran it again, and Rivers did it perfect. Smith (the "color analyst" if you will) commented that usually, for rookies especially, it will take a guy 4-5 times at least to get that right, and Rivers just picked it up no problem. Smith said it was a product of him being around basketball his whole life, being the son of a coach, and just loving the game and wanting to learn/be the best player he can be. Very promising indeed.

Yeah, I saw that too. Gordon and he laughed after, which is what I pointed about above about them all playing around with him before practice because he has great relationships with his players. Love our coach!

Well, they only showed the 2nd half of the practice. They'd show clips, then comment, then show clips, then comment. That routine. It was interesting for sure, but I would have liked to listen more to Monty than the announcers.

Steve Smith was laughing at how Monty hooked Lopez.

Yea i don't see a double dribble. Yes he switches hands to cut it to the baseline and perhaps "hooks" lopez?..But hey, Kobe does it all the time.

Should we be impressed by Monty or embarrassed that our defense let a 40 year old man do that?

That was experience teaching a young guy that is still learning.

Since Monty won't be taking the floor this year, and Robin will, I'm leaning towards the latter...

Well its day 3 of TRAINING camp... Rather it happen NOW (even if it is monty who by the way still got game) then during a game.
Better to have it happen now and address it.
I will say you don't see it in the clip but Anderson DOES rotate to help cover baseline but monty flips it to AD for a dunk.
They can and will clean it up in my opinion.

They honestly didn't expect him to do that. I know I didn't.

Lopez just needed Anthony Davis backing him up rather than Ryan Anderson. AD23 would have swatted Monty's pass away.
