Whole Foods announces new store opening in Mid-City

Whole Foods has announced that it is opening a new store at North Broad and Bienville streets, according to a report by WWL-TV.

The building originally opened as a Schwegmann's giant supermarket in 1965. It later became a Robert's Fresh Market store, but has been vacant since Hurricane Katrina.

The Whole Foods is expected to open later this year.
