He also had like 3 shots blocked by Howard.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

And to reiterate what Balls had mentioned, his FG% leaves room for improvement... but hell yes I want a guy who can score AND dish.

You guys crack me up. His shooting % will only go up also. He has always been efficient. He and Davis are going to be stars for years.

If Rivers can sniff 40% his rookie year, I would be happy. Lillard's looking good, bro.

People need to stop beating themselves up over Lillard. He didn't fall to the right spot and the Hornets probably weren't going to trade up.

No. I mean, what? How is that a knock against him. That's like giving up a home run to Barry Bonds.

It wasn't a knock, it saying that's why his FG percent was lower. It was actually props.

I didn't see the game but when I checked the boxscore I figured Dallas must've been displaying some kind of stern defense.

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle is one of the sharpest defensive coaches in the league, a mastermind who is meticulous in devising and executing a game plan. The prey for the championship coach on Monday was Lillard, and he spun a web earlier in the day, telling the media that he was “an early candidate for the Rookie of the Year” while raving about his shooting ability. Once the game rolled around, he sent an aggressive defense at the point guard, blitzing him with a double-team to force the ball out of his hands.

It was the first time in four games a team so aggressively tried to get the ball out of Lillard’s hands before he could turn the corner and get to the basket, or have enough space to unleash his silky jumper.

The result was Lillard’s first stinker of the season: 2-for-13 shooting, including 1-for-8 on three pointers. He finished with 13 points, five assists, one steal, and one turnover. The boxscore left off one important statistic: One lesson learned.

Yea at this point id be happy if Rivers could end up right at 40% shooting and oh say 35+% from 3....not great #s by any means but something to build on based on what I've seen thus far...subject to change and probably will over an 82 game season & I hope he can get closer to 45% and 38% respectively to go along with 3-5 assists a night and ability to run the offense and get the hockey assists as well

If you ever see Lillar play, even a bad game, you know he belongs.
