Top 3 Moments in New Orleans Hornets History

Not sure how I feel about the blog having two of three moments occur off the court, but I guess I get it. It brought me back to a little over 4 years ago though. I like the debate. I think my top moment was beating the heck out of the Mavs in the playoffs. Chris ran circles around Kidd. Having said that, number one on the list makes a lot of sense.

Two of those are way too close to really be counted as perspective takes time. I would say

    1. Team moves to NOLA
    2. CP3, Peja and DWest beat the breaks off the Mavs in 08
    3. CP3 drafted by Hornets to fill void of Katrina!

CP3 being drafted wasn't nearly as big of a moment at the time as us winning the lotto.
I get what your saying, getting CP3 was a huge and changed the franchise but the excitement factor of that moment is what I was going for.

I assume DWest slapping Dirk and the (in)famous ring of fire are the unspoken 4th and 5th best moments among Hornets fans.

You may be right, time will tell. This is such a hard list to create with only three slots to fill. My #1 moment was my first game when I saw Yao Ming play his rookie season at the hive against Barron Davis. It was my first NBA game and it was awesome!!

For me its the game when we played the Spurs, I was there. Okafor had like 3 blocks in one possession, then CP3 made Parker fall. The Hove was live that night.

    1. Beating Dallas in 2008 playoffs
    2. Winning draft lottery
    3. 100-75 victory against the Jazz in the first game (not sure why I remember the score, but have to include the first ever win in the first ever game)

Benson buying the team was nice, but too off the court for me to pick as one of the greatest moments. Going up 2-0 on the Spurs was cool, but like the article said, that was beginning of the downfall. Games six and seven rank up with the the saints vs. bears in the conference championship as the most devastating moments of my sports fan career.

    1. 2007-2008 Season
    2. Drafting AD
    3. The 11-1 Start to the 2010-2011 Season (I was hyped!)

    2.) Winning draft lottery

In no specific order: benson buys team, we win the lottery, mavs get destroyed

Gotta admit west dropping 40 points consecutively on the spurs and many cp3 peja and tyson moments are deeply impressed in my memory..

Definitely the Hornets coming to NOLA has to be #1 and Benson's purchase has to be #2. Winning the lottery is definitely up there along with the 1st game in the Arena. Surprised no one mentioned Mashburn's 50 point game against Memphis. That was an awesome night.
