There's really not a ton of bigs on the team(which is why he was called back in the 1st place) to battle with in practice. It'll be a great experience from him as a person, not so sure it'll be better for him as a basketball player.

I think I see your point, but given the options, its a moot one....

Sounds like he may be speaking about the practices before he was cut because I do believe he has been working out with us.

    Wasn't he practicing for us?

I think you just enjoy playing contrarian at this point.

You don't think practicing against and playing with - even in limited minutes - the greatest players in the game today isnt more beneficial then playing a couple summer league games(most likely isn't going to play all of them and full minutes) with the likes of Daryl Watkins, Mac Koshwal, Matthew amaning and Brian Roberts?

    Come on

This should make for a good learning experience. Also he should get some pt tonight if healthy simply because the u.s should blow these guys out.

Not to mention the things he can learn from simply being around professionals (Kobe, Deron, KD35, TC, etc) who have established NBA careers. Everyone talks about a veteran presence on this team as we grow, you can't get a better set of leaders than those compiled on Team USA. Say what you want about CP3, LBJ, and Melo, but being around the top talents in your profession is NEVER a bad thing. Also I'm sure he'll glean a few things from Coach K and his staff while there as well.

The only thing I'm worried about is being exposed to the WorldWideWes people. 08 planted the seeds for the Super teams.

However, he will get far more experience than playing in summer league versus scrubs.

Davis isn't starting. Sounded like Paul, Kobe, Lebron, Chandler, and someone else that I missed.

Paul, Kobe, Lebron, Melo, and Chandler starting.

Did see AD warming up in the background though, maybe he gets some run.

Blake probably hurt his knee doing something normal, like coming down with a rebound. That's probably what really happened here.

AD can learn more from just sitting on that bench than he could learn from 4 Summer leagues.

Only if he can get in some practice time with them at least. He's got a great coach for off the court stuff. Christian Laettner was merely a spectator with the mighty dream team. Didnt help him much at all.

    1. Laettner is no AD

    2. How can you say for sure it didn't help him? He might have been worse without it.
