We did go hard after him a few offseasons ago.

and how many teams in the league get the distinction of "unknown?" That seems to fit us well.

I think I read yesterday that in addition to Jamison, Jermaine O'Neal might be heading to the Lakers as well.

The Lakers average age would be around 46 if those two signed.

the lakers dont really need to go into rebuild mode until kobe retires, so yeah i can understand bringing in these guys to try and compete now.

The Hornets have 3 holes on the roster, in my opinion back up 2 guard (Xavier has worlds of potential, but he's struggling majorly against SL competition), a back up 3 (eventhough I really think Miller could surprise a lot of people) and a big body at the 5. Here is who I like:

SG:Rush (might be more of a SF but he could fill two positions as back up SG/SF) would be my first choice but I'm sure GS would match anything reasonable, isn't Lee looking for a starting gig? if not then Lee, Shannon Brown, Meeks, would all be good options at the back up 2 if they don't want long term deals.

SF:I've always liked Carlos Delfino and what happened to Martell Webster? Didn't Monty and him work together in Portland? Maybe he'd b willing to sign a one year, prove it deal?

C:Robin Lopez, but he'd have to come really cheap, like Ant Randolph cheap (3 years 6 million is what he signed for), and I'd bet a years salary that Phoenix would match that. Daniel Orton has a load of potential, but I thought he signed somewhere?

I really want to keep as much cap space as possible next year and with the way this offseason has gone I think Demps agrees.

Golden State, Chicago, Orlando and New York are interested in Marco.

How are those guys cap outlooks? Would any of them be forced to do a S&T with us to get the ole Italian Stallion?

Grabbing Rush would be awesome and we've already shown interest in him before.

Problem is he's a RFA and we all know how those work out. Either overpay or it'll get matched, or in Batum's case even if you overlay they'll match it

    Haddidi from Memphis?? Cheap, yes?

  22. #1022
John Leuer would be a nice big.

  23. #1023
any1 else see this 3 way trade with Cavs Lakers Magic? Lakers Get Howard, Cavs get Bynum and Magic get picks and varejao from cleveland???

Obviously i know theres probably A LOT more involved in the deal but shouldnt the hornets be sniffing around? You add Bynum along with Davis Anderson Gordon Rivers your 1st roudner wont be worth anything for a very long time anyway...

Ok now thatt i got the completely unrealistic notion out of the way i see rockets released 2 big men today in Jerome Jordan and Jon Leuer... would we be interested in either as a backup aka 6 fouls?

We should be. Jordan's a longshot and a project, but a lot of Knick fans were high on his upside. Leuer had a nice little rookie season and I'm kinda surprised he just got cut. Houston's got so many relatively decent rotation players that their cuts would be among the first I'd look at, just because their overflow is better than most star-heavy teams.
