I think that last sentence is key. The team signing a player to an offer sheers will do anything to make the player want to come to them. I'm sure Phoenix did something like that. Nets have agreed to at least 4 years/58 million for Brook Lopez, still. Negotiating a 5th year. My God, there's some terrible contracts out there. Lopez is worth nowhere near the max. Soft as hell on the boards a D.

Was that deal based on potential? In 09-10 he averaged 18.8ppg and 8.6rpg. In 10-11 he averaged 20.4ppg and 6.0rpg. Last season he only played 5 games. Maybe they're paying him based on what they THINK he will do once he comes back healthy. I don't know. ???

Meh, I didn't care for Kaman to much. Hope Cuban throws a huge contract at him and he's stuck with his salary for 4 years. Maybe we could add Mahinmi (sp?) for cheap as a big body off the bench?
