What could Phoenix possibly want from the Lakers (why do they always get the best deals)? But if this means the Lakers get Dwight, I'm going to be really upset.

  2. #477
Phoenix Suns will sign-and-trade Steve Nash to the Lakers for 2013 & 2015 1st round draft picks and 2013 & 2014 2nd round draft picks.

  3. #478
Better than him going to the Knicks. Melo and Stoudemire on the same team wouldn't win a title in 50 years.

lakers with nash is miles better than lakers without. That's the question.

They had Blake and Sessions at the point this year. Nash is an upgrade from both. If there is any truth about Howard and Nash then it's an upgrade. I agree, i don't see it redefining the west, but i think it makes them better. Also a guy to pick and roll with Gasol with.

Not really. They're better, but it doesn't address their major needs. They needed more perimeter shooters and athletic wing players, plus frontcourt depth.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

You don't think Nash is a Perimeter shooter?

Late 1sts (which is what the Lakers 1st always are) aren't really worth that much to me but to each his own I guess. Those 2nd rounders are completely useless. If we S&T to the Suns I still hope a 3rd team is involved.

The Suns could technically put together a pretty good Dwight package now imo..

Hopefully they will so EJ won't want to go there anymore.

In all seriousness though it would be retarded for us not to match. W/O him we go right back to being a middle of the road team. To be one of the top teams you have to have an elite player/scorer and that's exactly what Gordon is. Am I happy with his comments, absolutely not. But, I think he will suck it up and be happy here once he gets on the court and sees the future this team has...oh yeah and when he starts getting those fat paychecks.

As a franchise you have to start building at some point, you can't just always have young pieces, draft picks, and cap space. Dell,Monty,Loomis, and Tom Benson know that so I will be very suprised if we don't match.

I see us signing EJ. Then signing Mahinmi to play center. He should come cheap and could become valuable down the road with some development. Finally I think we sign Grant Hill to start at the 3. He and Monty are friends,he's be a great vet presence, and he could get the Tim Duncan treatment where he doesn't play in back to backs. That way Aminu continues to get minutes and develop as does Darius Miller.

    Jack, Vasquez,Rivers
    Gordon,Rivers,Henry
    Hill,Aminu,Miller
    Davis, Carl Landry(Maybe),Thomas
    Mahinmi,Smith,Goose

All the Lakers have is better big men (if Pau plays big). That makes them a threat for a title run still.

Grant is going to a contender for sure. But what if we put together a 3 team deal with PHX getting EG like they want and the Suns turning some assists in to D12 for us would anyone wanna take that risk lol??

Also, as mentioned. Lakers first rounders are invariably worthless.

And Westbrook would eat Nash alive he couldn't possible defend him.
