I'm coming to the realization that the NBA fan populace as a whole hates change. We hate new names, new uniforms, especially if it isn't our team. I GUARANTEE you that a forum of non-Hornets fans will hate whatever name and logo we pick. That's just what NBA fans are now; we're haters, the lot of us. With that in mind, I want the ugliest colors/most ridiculous name possible, because haters gon hate.

it's not nba fans, it's humans. humans evolved advanced technology through hard-wired pattern recognition and inferential prowess, plus thumbs. take either away, and people get grumpy.

Well, after hearing more, now I'm less positive...sorry for misleading info. I misunderstood original info. Now all i know is it's "old school." Definitely could be Pelicans, but could also mean plenty of others...bucs, brass, breakers, etc. April is supposed to be when we find out. We've got a long wait..

In all seriousness, i think some one needs to do a thorough investigation into this cover up.
The only "Old School" name that deserves the team we're putting together is the Buccaneers, but with a change to the mascot. Go for the skull and bones look.
