He also causes mismatches since PFs cant stay with him, and they have to bring a wing to defend him leaving one of my wings against a slower PF. Joe will play more of the role he did in Phoenix as a spot up shooter and my #2 guy. Dragic will be setting them up and hitting all the open shots that come his way. Andy V and Parsons are 2 of the best defenders/role players in the game

My bench is stacked and should be able to outscore any other bench in the league and play solid D. They will come in and change the pace since everyone on my bench is great running the floor. Isaiah and Tiago are 2 of the best P&R players in the league and will mesh perfectly.

Again Joe is up against a tiny SG who cant defend a lick, Terry would get destroyed. And Love/Beasley definitely cant guard Melo. Beasley and Terry is a pretty bad wing pairing imo, neither one can defend at all and Beasley is just a dumb, inefficient chucker and shouldn't be a starter

I'll wait to see what he has to say but I really don't see anyone who can defend Joe Johnson or Melo at all on his team, Bradley on Joe maybe, but your team has room on the block where Joe can post him up. Maybe Barnes on one or both, but is that a guy you want playing heavy minutes. It'll be interesting to see what his gameplan is.

Maybe he'd want to try Wall on Johnson, I don't know. As is, matchup nightmare for sure.

The Hornets are the more talented team though.

    Start Avery Bradley
    Formally known as WhoDatMan504

Done, but Joe still has 6 inches and 45 pounds on him. The Hornets just don't match up well, Melo is way too quick for Love and should also have no problem posting him up since he doesn't play defense. And Love is the only reliable scorer they have in the starting lineup

I picked the Hornets. While I value Melo as an individual talent, his ability to influence wins for his teams hasn't been great throughout his career, and other than him, the Hornets are stronger (though there's a ton of youth in that hornets starting lineup.) I think that Love and Bogut would dominate in the post, Bradley could slow down/annoy johnson, and Wall would probably outplay Dragic.

Melo has never played on a team this good.

Bogut doesnt have any offensive game left at all since his injuries, The only offense he has is through Love, or Beasley taking bad shots.

Bradley is too tiny for Joe.

Wall cant shoot at all and turns it over 4 times a game. Dragic sets his teammates up just as good as Wall and is a much better scorer

My frontcourt is dominant compared to yours. I also got quickness in my starting 1 and 2 with quality shooters/defenders if needed coming off the bench.

The Hornets have a good bench, but the starters underwhelm me. I go with the Knicks.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Wall, Bradley, and Beasley is a terrible starting perimeter group. Beasley and Wall have been awful the last two seasons.

Can anyone explain why they voted for the Hornets other than b/c you hate Melo? No one explained why they voted against me last round either...

Again Bogut is purely a defensive specialist now, he's shot 47% the past 2 seasons with 12 ppg. Melo/Love is a wash. Melo is an avg defender and Love will get his like he does against everyone, but I wouldn't be surprised if Melo went for 40+ with Kevin Love trying to guard him

I'm surprised the Knicks are losing.

in addition to the reasons I gave, I like the Hornets bench a bit better. It's a pretty close matchup in my eyes (and as evidenced by the voting). I'm not a Melo fan at all, but it's not hate....I just think he's not a guy that usually is a very good leader, or helps a team's win total. He scores a lot of points, but hogs the ball and takes many shots.

I like my bench better, perfect balance of scoring, chemistry and defense imo.

They dont really have a PG, Green and Thad do what Mayo does much more efficiently, Mayo shot 40% the past 2 yrs

    Delonte can slow down Terry

Arenas and Webster are scubs, Seraphin is just as good as Brand imo and Splitter>Smith

Not to mention I have one of the best/most versatile defenders in the league (Luc) as like a 4th stringer for emergencies
