Thread: Hornets/Bucks Trade

    Trade Idea Hornets/Bucks Trade

Jack, Okafor & #10 pick for Brandon Jennings

We have got to start getting more realistic with these trades.

It is going to take a lot to get a player of his caliber.

    Thoughts?

A player of whose caliber? Jennings?

Are we starting with the next trade then? lol

You're missing about 17M of salary from the Bucks side to make that deal work.

It would have to be something like:

    Jarrett Jack
    #10 pick

    for

    Brandon Jennings
    Shaun Livingston

pass, Jennings has made it clear he wants to go to a bigger market

Draft buzz: Hearing that teams calling Hornets being told that it'll take more to get No. 10 pick than taking on Ariza or Okafor contract

If Davis develops into the player we think he will be, if Gordon stays healthy, and if Jennings likes Monty and company like other guys do, I think he would be open to sticking in the Big Easy.

My thought is the more realistic thing to happen is there won't be any trades.

I would sign jennings, I like him as a young player, if the offer is good... why not.

Brandon Jennings is a chucking bum. Not to mention he's likely to give up more points than he gives.

Giving up all that for Brandon Jennings and the #10 pick himself will probably be better than Jennings. I don't know that for certain though but it sure as heck wouldn't surprise me.

Then what was the deal Dell was trying to do this past year when he was trying hard to get Jennings?

Seriously, we are trading a potential great player for this guy?

I'll take that trade in a heartbeat... Jennings has been playing w/ scrubs up there in Milwaukee. He was good when Bogut wasn't hurt.

Put him here w/ Davis and Gordon and watch... the dude is a great scoring PG who can dish too. He'd be amazing in NOLA.

Anyone remember what the suggested deal for Jennings was?

I think it originally started w/ #10 and Ariza for Jennings... but I'm pretty sure there needs to be more involved.
I know the Bucks might actually prefer Oakfor unless they plan on drafting Leonard/Henson/Zeller at 12.

I'd do Ariza, Jack, and #10 for Jennings and a filler. Have to check Milwaukee's roster first. Mbah A Moute still there? ha

I thought there were rumours of us trading for him during the season?

    Ohhhh... yeah... that original.

I think it had something to do some combination of Mek/Kaman, Jack, and Landry with him coming back with another bad contract.

Yeah, Carl was definitely involved. That's the guy they liked the most if I remember correctly.

I know you can't trade a player under contract in one of those sign and trade deals, but could you do the rights to a player?

I would much rather draft Lillard or Rivers.
