@Lakers Nation:No word on if Dirk is going to resign with the team or explore free agency. Word is Mitch Kupcheck will be on the phone on his doorstep at 12:01 AM of the resigning day.

@Lakers Nation:Lakers putting out feelers in a lot of exploratory trades right now. Said to have contacted the Bull concerning Steve Nash. May consider talking about Redd after the draft.

@Lakers Nation:Mitch Kupcheck is trying to free up salary to be able to offer a max deal to one of a few free agents to put next to Dirk if he can resign. If he can move Cassell and Snow, after resigning Dirk their cap figure will still only be at around 29 million.

@Lakers Nation:Lakers coy about who they may target in FA. some speculate they may save for next season if deal is not right.
