I think you can do it now if you want, though it'd be better to just wait until right after training camp. You don't want to spend points on your player and then have his ratings drop.

im not talking about their skills though.. their true potential, so i was thinking with more potential, theres a better chance for increases during camp

I feel ya, thought about doing that myself for a while. But don't put too much stock in potential, trust me. Jamison had D potential in his breakout season, which was a factor in why I ditched him. He has C now. Bibby had C potential when I got him in the Jamison deal, but after training camp he got a B all of a sudden. Not to mention how random it can be (how 37-year-old Danny Manning has B potential is beyond me).

If you've got some points to blow, but not enough for a skill, go for it. But if you have enough points for skills, then you might want to consider just upgrading that and taking whatever you have left to "raise" potential.

Great another training camp were my players either stayed the same or got worse in significant areas. Last year Eddie jones went to A- in outside it was one of the few if not only good thing to happen for me in training camp now hes back to b+. Is there a way to not participate inn training camp
