That was a lot to give up for Odom. He's a young stud but damn!
I know Prep was driving a hard bargain for him from my dealings with him
Yeah, I had to give up on that dream as well lol.
If I didn't have infrastructure already for him I would have never paid that price. I actually didn't make the moves before that with intent to get him, but I always listen to trades no matter how outlandish they may seem and will accept if I feel i'm getting a greater asset in return as long as it doesnt effect my core. I've managed to shed 4 million dollars off my cap this year and grab a 20 year old PF that does a little bit of everything. I don't really need him to lead my team in anything because I have Marbury and Grant Hill, don't need him to lead in rebounding because of Dale Davis, I just need him to do everything well, which he does.
But my vision for him is as below and he has 4 years to catch him:
556 Lamar Odom SF 20 6'10'' 220 B- B- C A- C+ B
270 Kevin Garnett PF 24 6'11'' 220 A- C+ C A B+ B
Bold vision, though youre very thin at the frontcourt right now

I'm still trying to figure out how you ended up having the 11th, 20th, and 22nd overall pick of the creation draft on one team.

I think we both ended up happy with that move. BallSoHard really wanted him obviously. Even after the failed first trade that i backed out of. He made me a good offer and i was looking to move him for the right one. He does produce in all categories but i didn't like his turnovers, poor shooting, or contract. That should improve on his new team where he wont be the best player like he was on mine and with the move to PF. He's still really young too so he has time to improve.
Clips now have tons of young talent and picks to make a trade for a star player if anyone is looking to deal.
Speaking of which,
CP, do we have a chance to sign our own free agents first? that would only seem appropriate.
Yeah I think it is:
-Resignings
-Draft
-Free Agency
I'm not 100% sure on that though.

yeah same here lol. Felt that way anyway. I try to make fair offers, but every once in a while I'll start off negotiations with a terribly one-sided offer.
Hey, when's the sim for today?
I think cp3 said it was for 8 or 9 tonight.
It will be if this trade doesn't get resolved before I have to leave.
That sucks. I've been waiting all morning.
Emeka Okafor - Al Jefferson - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Damon Stoudamire
Brad Miller - Samaki Walker - Mickael Pietrus - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
Haha get the deal done boys! We should have an actual time deadline for the rest of the years. Like 9:00 am the morning of the sim or something.
Hm. This may give me a chance to rethink my lineup for this sim, it's nearing crunch time for this squad. If I can avoid slipping any further before penny gets back, I might have a shot at a late surge.
Haha, working on it! The deal was done like 3 times but got caught up over salaries and then traded pick issues... hopefully will have it finalized soon.
