we CANT go over the cap by trading?

we CAN go over the cap by drafting?

so if i go over the cap with my draft, my trades may not go through?

Nola, I think that will hold true because I doubt you've gone over the salary cap already with only 4 players; the downside is you may be severly handcuffed in the draft from here on out because you may be near that threshold.

In all honesty I'm leaning heavily towards deleting all trade threads and not allowing any to be posted until the draft is over because A) People don't understand the concept of I can't list salaries before players are drafted and B) People don't want to understand the concept that I cannot process trades until after all 12 rounds are complete, the game will not allow it.

I should have never allowed trades in the first place.

For instance, if I'm between 2 or 3 players that I hold around equal, I would choose the player with the lowest salary cap hit, but I can't do that when there aren't any numbers available.

Like I stated, cap has already been "loosened" by 8 mill, if it goes anymore it will be 2 or 3 mill at most.

I'm not going to make it even larger just to fit your team. You and the people you are trading with are clearly the only people who will have cap trouble. And like I stated when we start, be cautious with your trades because they may not go through.

Exactly! That's why I asked you to remove them, because it didn't matter.

Look, you are killing yourself over this salary ****, and it's only because you have such a low salary cap. I say we completely get rid of the salary cap, considering it is all computer generated salary numbers to begin with. In real life, players can take pay cuts and whatnot, but that can't happen here.

The whole salary cap thing is stupid, especially considering it's a fantasy league. We can't even continue the draft (trades or not) unless there is no salary cap.

I'm not faulting you for not having the players' salary numbers. That isn't the problem. The problem is that there is a really low salary cap number, and the computer is creating some really funky, weird cap numbers for these players that we can't even see.


Just do away with the salary cap. Or set it really high. Same thing.

For the last time, be smarter with your trades. The cap is in place to prevent people from collecting a ton of talent. It's like that in real life and it's like that in this league.

The difference is that, before real GMs make their trades, they know the player's salaries. I don't. There is a big freaking difference. You are asking me (and everyone else) to trade blindly. That isn't possible. The flaw is in the system, not my trading method.

Every league I've been in or seen has not allowed trades in the creation draft, I decided to give it a try and it's cleary been nothing but trouble and in all honesty it's ruined the entire game.

My point is that it's already too late man. Everything would be a lot easier if you just adjusted the cap number.

Everyone in this game has the power to seek out the trades that I did. They just didn't, and that isn't my fault. I already took one on the chin with the whole randomized/snake draft issue, and I just shut up about it. It's starting to get ridiculous.

If you just did away with the cap, then there wouldn't be an issue. A salary cap doesn't ensure fair play. If GMs are good, they seek out trades that improve their team. I did that, and now I'm being penalized for it. It's not my fault that I don't know the players' salary numbers.

Again, this whole mess would just go away if we didn't have a salary cap.

He argued over whether or not round two was going to be randomized so he could have a higher pick, on the other league he also argued with the commish over vetos, and he looks for the most inexperienced GM by messaging all of them and then proceeding to rip them off. I'm so sick of him. I don't care about winning, I just want it to be fun, and it won't be with Nolaslim abusing the system and pushing his agenda all the time.

The only thing I complained about was the randomized thing, and I dropped that before you even said that the computer actually did a snake draft.

Secondly, I'll just draft like normal, and we'll see what happens at the end of the draft. We'll deal with it then if it needs to be dealt with. Who even says that I will need extra cap space? Who knows. We don't even know the players' salaries, so they could decrease a lot from here on out. Who knows?

P.S. I don't force anyone to accept my deals. I don't have a gun to their head. I have dealt with 4 different posters, so it's not like there is 1 guy that I am "taking advantage of." They are all big boys and can run their own teams. Just stfu and worry about your own ****. It's not my fault that I am such a beast at this kind of stuff. Stop hating!
