Because that's what the initial signing period when the actual players decide is for. Just letting you go out and bid whatever you like to 8 of 8 free agents you have defeats the purpose.

ok so we can already bid on other team's free agents after the draft?(I thought i read here somewhere someone suggested the first sim will be for resigning our own free agents)
a couple of questions regarding free agency
we are doing private bidding right? should we send all our bids in one message or one message per player?
are we allowed to bid over/beyond our cap space?
how about a format for our bids?
im thinking of something like
Washington Wizards - Cap space 30,300,000
Bids :
Jason Collins - 3 years - 8 million
Andre Hutson - 3 years - 12 million
Ruben Boumtje - 3 years - 10.3 million
Total - 30.3 million
